Unfortunately, cats don't have it easy on the streets of Mallorca. They fight for survival every day. The danger of being poisoned or mistreated is also omnipresent. There are also no animal shelters in Mallorca like you know them from Germany. In Mallorca they are called "Perreras" and are state killing stations where the animals are killed either upon arrival or within 21 days if they do not find new owners.  In order to protect as many animals as possible from this sad fate, we not only created Cats Karma, but meanwhile also rented our own refuge as a rescue center on Mallorca and converted it to be suitable for cats. In our refuge, several volunteers take care of our emergencies every day. Our Refugio can of course be visited by prior arrangement and appointment.
